We have 100 acres of paddocks specifically allocated to the Stud with accommodation for 50 horses.

Mares

Grove Farm Stud take Boarding Mares and offer a walking-in service for visiting mares to all the major Stallion Studs in the Newmarket area.

We have CCtv in the foaling boxes and each foaling is supervised by Anne or Julian who live on the Stud.

Grove Farm Stud has a veterinary agreement with Rossdale & Partners in Newmarket which includes routine gynaecological work (further details on application).

We strongly recommend this service as it has proved to be very cost effective.

OUR CHARGES

Foaling Mare – £24.00 per day
Maiden/Barren Mare – £22 per day
Foaling Charge – £195.00

Youngsters are inspected on a regular basis by our vets Rossdale & Partners making sure potential growth problems are spotted early to give your horse the best possible chance of reaching the racecourse!

A variety of options are available including, Boxrest / walking in hand or Horsewalker together with small turn-out paddocks so that each horse can be treated as an individual if required.

Sales Preparation

We start on sales preparation approximately 60 days before the sale. At this point our daily rate applies.

We utilise the Horsewalker and also walk in hand with experienced staff to ensure your horse attains the best possible price at sale.

OUR CHARGES

Sales preparation daily rate of £30.00 applies.
Sales attendance is £160/horse/day at Newmarket
£190.00/day plus travelling expenses elsewhere
Door cards £35.00
Sales commission for purchases and sales @ 2.5%
